Inputs that matter

  • Current conversion rate.
  • Minimum detectable effect worth acting on.
  • Daily visitors to the page.
  • Acceptable test duration.
  • Risk tolerance for false positives and false negatives.

Decision rule

If the test would take longer than the page or campaign will remain stable, run a synthetic variant comparison first. Then reserve live traffic for the strongest candidate.
